DIY Barrel Planters
While we were cleaning out the old shop at Grandpa’s House, we found several empty metal barrels. Immediately I knew I’d paint them and use them for large planters.
The Cleanout
Because Adam was an only child, and his Dad remained single after Adam’s mother left them when he was just a toddler, cleaning out the old house was something we knew we’d have to do just the two of us. In some ways it’s a dreaded job…
What to do with the house?
After Jim passed away, we were left weighing our options as far as what to do with the house. Personally, I always wanted to keep Adam’s childhood home, but it took my husband a little while to come around to renovating Grandpa’s House and moving back to Iowa.
